Mr. Ha Duong Minh Minh is a senior scientist focused on energy, climate change, society, the economy, and uncertainty. In his role as a senior researcher in environment and development, his mission is to foster the growth of individuals and groups to help make the world a better place. He founded the quasi-independent think tank Vietnam Initiative for Energy Transition (VIET SE) in August 2018 and established the Clean Energy and Sustainable Development (CleanED) laboratory at the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH) in December 2014.
He served as a lead author for the IPCC’s Fourth and Fifth Assessment Reports, sharing in the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize. His HDR thesis focused on imprecise probabilities—specifically utilizing possibility theory for scenario generation and the Transferable Belief Model for expert opinion aggregation—with applications in environmental and energy economics.
